Madison turned 11 on January 31st and had a great birthday! Here are the things she got. A pink Ipod Nano, some sherpa boots, a pink sweater, 2 justice text messagers, earings, makeup, nail stuff, a hair straightener, a LIV doll, some beads for watches and jewelry, an ipod dock/alarm clock, a really cute justice bag filled with cute socks, lipgloss, and other girly things, Taylor Swift cd, and money. I think I got everything! :) I asked her what her favorite thing was she got and she looked at me and and smiled and said Everything! She is so cute. She got her first makeup this year too and has been wearing a little to school.

Madison's cousin Libby's birthday is the same day and so we had a fun party for both of them at our house. They had yummy cake and icecream and played and played. It was fun! Granpa and Grandma Matthews came and Uncle Cale, Grandpa and Grandma Hofer and Rachel, Aunt Mandy, Uncle Joe, Lindsay and Aubrey, Uncle Josh, Aunt Peg, Ashton, and Libby, Grandma Bluemel all came too!
Madison made her own birthday cakes this year. She made a chocolate one that said Happy birthday Madison and then she made a really cute rainbow chip cake that had a puppy, kitty, and a bird on it. She did a great job!!! It was a really fun day and she had a great birthday!

Thankful Thursday~

Today I wanted to write down a few things I am thankful for right now today!

Exercise! It is on my top right now! It helps me to feel normal and relieves my stress and makes me feel better about myself. Yesterday Eldon and I went and signed up for a gym membership and I am so excited about it. I went with Mandy and Peg on Tuesday night and worked out and it was so much fun and I felt great after! But I will definantly say that the spinning class is not for me! Holy cow. We tried to do what they had written on the board and I don't know how they do it. 10 minutes and I was done! And we were just doing the warmup part. My favorite thing they have there is the eliptical! I love it and my legs are still feeling the effects of it.

Always Pads! Ok I know that might be too much info. But this week I am thankful for them! I cannot even imagine what women used before they were invented!

Lady Antebellum! They are a country band and their new cd came out this week and I love it! They have kept me going to their sweet sounds while cleaning my house.

A new Ward! We are going to the Lyman 1st ward and I have to tell you that it has been a long long time since I have felt comfortable being at church and been able to feel the spirit and not feel bad about myself. I am happy with the change and its made church so much more enjoyable for me and my family.

Facebook! I love going in there and reading what my friends and family are doing for the day! Its so fun to have a connection with people when you are a stay at home mom and you need some adult talk too! It is entertaining and I love all my friends and family on there!

So for this Thursday those are some of my thankful things. :)

Happy Birthday Eldon

Today is Eldon's birthday and I wanted to take a minute and write down some of the wonderful things that I love about him.

~ He is a great Daddy and Husband! He is the best and I am so happy that I am married to him. The kids love him and he is there hero and I love how much he loves them!

~ He is a hard worker and provide for us and skips out on fun things he could be doing to make sure we are taken care of.

~. He is kind to everyone he meets. It doesn't matter if you are a stranger or not. He will talk to you and be your friend. It amazes me how he does this because I like to keep to myself, but he just walks up to people and instantly feels comfortable and talks to them.

~ His smile! I love Eldons smile! It lights up the room and just makes me happy.

Now here are some of Eldons favorite things that he loves!

~Family

~Fire Department

~Cheeseburgers and Jello salad

~four wheeling

~Building things

~doing garage doors

~visiting with friends

~Watching action movies

Happy Birthday Creath and Daddy! We love you and you mean the world to all of us!!

Briggs 6 months

Briggs turned 6 months the end of December. He now weighs 18 lbs 14 oz and was 27 1/2 inches long! He is a big boy! He is in the 75th percentile for height and weight. He is such a cutie and we love having him in our family. He loves the girls to pieces and can't get enough of them. He loves to just watch them and play with them and giggle at them. Its so cute. And you can tell they don't like him at all. :) He also loves his Daddy. It is so cute to watch his face when his Daddy comes home and see it all light up. He loves to just sit and stare at his Daddy and play with his whiskers on his face. I love watching them play on the floor together and just snuggling on the couch together. It so fun to see Daddy and son together. Briggs is such a Mommas boy too. He loves his mommy! I can't hardly leave him because he cries for me. He is so cute because if I go out of the room for too long and he hasn't seen me he will call for me with a coo sound and wait for me to let him know I am still around. He also likes to sleep with mommy more than his crib. He is a stinker. I put him to bed in his crib and by the end of the night he is snuggling with mommy in bed. Snuggling with mommy anywhere is his favorite spot! He also likes to go shopping with mommy and Walmart is his favorite. There is so much to look at there and he loves to just look around. He is now eating rice cereal 3 times a day and he gets some fruit mixed in with it once a day and some vegetables mixed in with it once a day too. He is learning how to drink out of a sippy cup and its cute to watch him because he doesn't know how to suck on it yet so he chomps on it like he does his spoon. Its funny. He is also a little flirt. He flirts with everyone. He does this really cute eyebrow raise at you when you are smiling and talking to him and its so cute! The old grandmas at church just love him and he definantly knows how to get attention and flirt! :) It amazes me that six and a half months have gone by since we had him and time is going so fast so I am cherishing every moment with him! Having him in our family is the best thing and we love him so much! I can't imagine how we went without him! He is so wonderful and we love our little Briggys, Chubbers, Toots, Woogie, cutie patootie!

New year, New Ideas

Hi everyone. We are excited it is a new year and are hoping this year is great! I have decided to do something different this year for our blog because we are printing it out again and I hope you all will enjoy it just as much as we do. I am going to include our favorite family recipes off and on to be included in the book. I have always wanted to save these for my family to have and so I thought this would be a great way to do it. So along with pictures and updates of my family and what we are doing I will also post what we love to make and eat! Hope it gives you all some new ideas for your families too. Happy 2010 to you all and hope its a great year too! ♥ The McCreath's
Lasagne
1/2 lb ground beef
1 Jimmy Dean sausage roll regular
1 box lasagne noodles
1 ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 pkg mozerella cheese
1/2 pkg chedder cheese
1 jar ragu or prego chunky mushroom spaghetti sauce
~Brown hamburger and sausage together and when done cooking drain and rinse. Next add spaghetti sauce to meat mixture At the same time as browning meat cook noodles in a medium saucepan until tender. Mix ricotta cheese with egg. When all this is done the layering begins. In a 9X13 pan put a layer of meat sauce. Then sprinkle mozerella and chedder on the meat. Next put a layer of noodles. Then smear a thin layer of ricotta on the noodles and then sprinkle that with mozerella and chedder cheese. Then layer noodles again and repeat with meat, cheese noodles, ricotta, cheese, noodles and then meat again. Finally on top sprinkle remaining cheese. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with Garlic Frenchbread cheese toast.
Garlic Frenchbread Cheese toast

~Cut frenchbread in half the long ways so you have two huge halfs. Next cut into sections large enough for individual sizes. Melt 1 stick of butter and 1/2 tsp of garlic in a bowl. Put a good layer of melted butter mixture on each of the sections of bread. Then sprinkle with lots of cheese. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
